Tramming the new HK POP
Life is a song of praise. Renowned Hong Kong music producer Vicky Fung and lyricist Chow Yiu-fai have launched the “Every Life Is A Song” project to recruit young musicians who share their vision. Together they search for stories of “ordinary people” in the city, transform such stories into songs, and build a musical archive that belongs to the Hong Kong people. In this project, the artists have selected and rearranged ten original songs that depict the stories of ten Hong Kong people, as they come, they meet, and form songs of praise. Along the tram track, a new generation of musicians, ten music originals and ten life stories converge, bringing to light Hong Kong’s cityscape today and the artists’ mission to turn life into music.
