Led by Warren Mok, the Artistic Director of Opera Hong Kong and world-renowned Chinese tenor from Hong Kong, the outstanding Hong Kong opera singers will present a series of opera classics including Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, Bizet’s Carmen and favourites from Donizetti and Puccini, as well as famous Chinese and Hong Kong popular art songs for the audiences of Wuhan, under the baton of conductor Zhou Wen with accompaniment of Hubei Symphony Orchestra. Through presenting this diverse genre of music in bel canto style (singing), the concert aims to showcase Hong Kong’s unique culture of the East and the West which contributes in fostering exchange and cultural development among the two cities.
