The LOCAL POWER Hong Kong Fashion Show and Exhibition in Seoul launches with a spectacular fashion show on 27 September, blending AI technology with Cantopop and K-pop to create an immersive multimedia fashion experience with stunning visual and audio impact. An exhibition follows from 28 September to 11 October at Seoul’s trendy hotspot Seongsu-dong, showcasing approximately 110 selected works from 39 designers/designer groups from Hong Kong and other cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and five Korean designers, highlighting the creative styles of Asia’s emerging design talent. Stay tuned for this event which sets out to open a new era where fashion meets technology, inspiring unlimited cross-cultural possibilities!

Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association (CDA-Asia) was founded in 2022 with the objectives of helping Hong Kong’s young generation to develop their fashion careers, create their own brands, and broaden their industry networks, in addition to promoting mutual exchange within the design industry.

The participating designers come from both Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Korea. The GBA designers include 8 representatives from Hong Kong—all finalists of Amazing Cut Season 1, a fashion design competition reality show broadcast on a Hong Kong TV channel from September to October 2024; 8 finalists of Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024 from GBA cities including Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Dongguan, etc.; 9 Hong Kong designer groups from Fashion Summit (HK) 2024, as well as 5 Hong Kong designers who participated in NEXT@Fashion Instyle. Other participating designers include 9 students from the Hong Kong Design Institute.
