A Journey Through Sound@Bangkok
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) is one of Asia’s leading tertiary institutions for the performing arts, which has nurtured countless brilliant music players. Talented students from the Academy Chamber Wind Ensemble of HKAPA present five marvelous woodwind, brass and percussion works, while a cheerful and joyful piece of Summer Music by the Woodwind Quintet opens the performance. They will team up with the members of the Mahidol Wind Orchestra of Mahidol University, one of the leading wind ensembles in Southeast Asia, to perform repertoires ranging from the 19th century Romantic period to the contemporary era, to provide the Thai audiences with a unique music appreciation experience. Two masterclasses will be arranged before two concerts to promote cultural exchange between the academies.
