Hong Kong brings the sound Chengdu turns around
The outdoor concert ImagineLand@Chengdu celebrates Cantonese pop music, presenting a vibrant crossregional musical feast.
Under the musical direction of Ng Cheuk-yin, the concert features acclaimed Hong Kong singer-songwriter Ivana Wong, new-generation artists Archie Sin, Feanna Wong, urban indie-pop duo Lil' Ashes and three-time winner of the Chinese Beatbox Championship beatboxer HeartGrey, Cantonese narrative singing Naamyam musician Keith Yeung and the popular Chengdu rapper PO8. From timeless classics to fresh new sounds, the evolution of Hong Kong pop intertwines with Chengdu's local energy, showcasing the charm of musical exchange across regions.
An arts market will also be set up on site, where audiences can wander between music and handmade crafts, and enjoy the artistic interplay of the two cities in a relaxed atmosphere.

Music Director: Ng Cheuk-yin
Ng Cheuk-yin is the first Artist Associate of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Co-Artistic Director of the a cappella theatre company Yat Po Singers, and Music Director of the neo-crossover music ensemble SIU2. He graduated from the Department of Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in composition. He subsequently studied Japanese at the International Christian University in Tokyo and jazz music at Codarts in the Netherlands.
In 2012, Ng received the Award for Best Artist by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He won the CASH Golden Sail Music Award for Best Serious Composition three times: in 2022 for his Chinese orchestral work Ji, in 2013 for his double sheng concerto Before the City Collapses, and in 2009 for his choral theatre work Rock Hard. His choral piece Singing Voices of the World also twice won the CASH Golden Sail Most Performed Works Award (Serious Music). In 2018, he won the "My Favourite Song Award" at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation for Hins Cheung's A Century of Trees. Recent projects include a cappella albums, the "Yat Yat Yat Kids Song" NFT project and the virtual music group Twinkle.
Singer-songwriter: Ivana Wong
Ivana began her journey as a singer-songwriter in 2005 and has since made her mark on the Hong Kong pop scene. Over the years, she has released various albums and composed numerous songs for various artists, films, TV dramas, and theatrical productions. In recent years, she has been developing and sharing her work through visual art and instrumental music, expanding her artistic horizons and exploring new avenues in art development.
In 2021, She launched the installation series The Missing Something exploring what is felt and learned when elements in life cease to exist. The series brings together her installation and musical works, which began with The Singing Canvas and continuing with The Pink Canvas and The Heart Canvas. In May 2023, she performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, presenting her debut orchestral work, The Missing Something - I'm Not Sure What to Go with Coffee: Iceland, That Piano, or a Portrait of You? Subsequently, she recorded her first orchestral album, which was performed live in Vienna with the orchestra.
In early 2025, she completed the commemorative concert, Fusion – Ivana Wong Concert 2025, celebrating her 20-year journey in the industry. That same year, she was invited to participate in the 30th anniversary celebration arts festival of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, where she performed her symphonic works with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, and later with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her light installations and visual works.
Rapper: PO8 (Chengdu)
PO8, hailed as a "rap poet wielding his pen like a weapon", is one of the leading lyrical rappers in the Chinese rap scene. His music is understated yet with edge, garnering many fans and accolades over the years with his unique storytelling and ethereal compositions. His music resonates with the alternative pronunciation of his name, "poet", creating a poetic and soul-stirring experience.
Singer-songwriter: Archie Sin
Archie is a Hong Kong singer of the new generation. He rose to prominence in 2021 as a finalist in the reality competition STARS Academy, where his soulful and nuanced delivery earned him a place in the Top 5 and launched his professional career.
His later appeared on Asia Super Young further developing as a "vocal-and-dance" idol and featured on the music programme "Infinity and Beyond" in 2024. Beyond music, his role in the drama Broken Trust showcased his potential as an actor.
In recent years, he has toured across Chinese Mainland, including Guangzhou and Foshan, strengthening his live performance experience and growing his fan base.
Singer: Feanna Wong
Feanna is a Hong Kong singer who has won the Hong Kong Film Awards' "Best Original Film Song" twice. In 2016, at the age of 14, she rose to fame with her theme song Almost We Fly, the theme song for the film She Remembers, He Forgets. The following year, she won the Bronze Award for Best New Artist at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation, becoming the youngest recipient of the award. In 2025, she won the Hong Kong Film Award again for Wah Fu One, the theme song for the film CIAO UFO.
Having been in the industry for 10 years, she is widely recognised as one of the standout young female singers. Her debut solo album in 2019 received critical acclaim and topping the Hong Kong Record Merchants Association sales chart for two consecutive weeks. In 2025, she released her second solo album, Growth, and held her first solo concert on the release day, which was met with a packed house and enthusiastic response.
Singer-songwriter Duo: Lil' Ashes
Lil' Ashes is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter duo comprising Pollie and Jonathan. Since their debut in 2013, they have carved out a unique space in the Cantopop scene, earning multiple "Best Group" awards at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards (903) and various industry accolades. Known for their signature blend of English and Cantonese songwriting, the duo creates magic through Pollie's distinctively whimsical vocals and Jonathan's heart-to-heart arrangements. They possess a rare gift for turning the "ashes" of everyday life into healing melodies that touches people's hearts.
In 2026, Lil' Ashes begins a brand new chapter as independent artists. Returning to the festival stage with a fresh sense of creative freedom, they invite you to escape the city's noise and rediscover a moment of pure, heartfelt connection.
Beatbox: HeartGrey
Heartgrey (So Tsz-lun) is a veteran Hong Kong beatbox artist, educator, and event organiser. A three-time China Beatbox Champion with over 15 years of stage performance experience.
In 2011, he reached the Top 8 at the EOM World Beatbox Championship in Austria. He later represented Hong Kong at the Grand Beatbox Battle World Finals in 2014 and 2017, continuing to bring Hong Kong beatbox to the international stage.
Beyond competitions and live performances, he has also appeared in the film The Way We Dance and the reality talent show King Maker II. In 2019, he founded the beatbox music group VOB, actively exploring the possibilities of beatbox in music performance and creation. In 2021, he established teaching platform HGBEATBOX, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of beatboxers and promoting the development of Hong Kong beatbox culture. In 2023, he was invited to be one of the judges for the Beatbox Battle World Championship.
Qinqin & Naamyam Narrative Singing: Keith Yeung
Keith is a Musician and Cantonese opera practitioner. Engages in performance, composition, lyric writing, and playwriting. he is the co-founder of TroVessional and Music Director of the Sing Fai Cantonese Opera Promotion Association.
From a young age, he studied various musical instruments and the art of Cantonese opera. He made his stage debut at the age of five and began serving as tou-ga (musical leader in the Cantonese opera ensemble) at fourteen, making him one of the youngest in Hong Kong. He later received scholarships and completed his Bachelor of Music degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
His recent major works include the experimental Cantonese opera Field of Dreams (adaptation, composition, and lyrics), the theatrical production Journey to the North (playwriting and lyrics) and Naamyam (traditional Cantonese narrative singing) pieces such as Hua-yen Buddhaverse and The Smiling, Proud Wanderer. He has also produced and coordinated various productions, including the television program Cantonese Opera Culture Series and the children's song animation Baby Naamyam Sing with Me.
