Contemporary Lion Dance and Kung Fu Circus
No Dragon No Lion is a groundbreaking creation by TS Crew. Without conventional costumes, the performers use only their bodies, red wooden stools, and minimalist props to capture the essence of dragon and lion dances. On stage, highly skilled artists masterfully blend Chinese opera with parkour, extreme martial arts, capoeira, tricking, dance, and beatbox, transcending all cultural and language barriers.
While theses festive dances are typically performed on bustling streets, this production moves the spectacle indoors. Its intense energy will instantly transport the audience into the vibrant atmosphere of the streets.

TS Crew
TS Crew, under the artistic direction of Hugh Cho, is a professional physical theatre company focused on contemporary dance, circus, and martial arts. The ensemble includes artists from various fields such as film, drama, dance and martial arts. They are the creative force behind the "Hong Kong Soul" initiative at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Adelaide Fringe Festival. The arts group has performed locally and internationally at major festivals, including the 2023 New Year’s Eve Countdown in New York, the Busan International Dance Festival, and the Sziget Festival in Budapest. Its production No Dragon No Lion won the Asian Arts Award for Best Performance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022 and received nominations for Best Dance and Best Show at the DarkChat Awards in 2023.

Cho graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. He is the co-founder and the Artistic Director of TS Crew. With a unique background - starting as a street dancer, receiving formal training at the academy, practicing Capoeira and acrobatics for years, and working as a Cantonese Opera acrobat - he has developed a distinctive style of choreography. He was the recipient of the Tom Brown Emerging Choreographer Award at the Hong Kong Dance Awards 2019 and the Award for Young Artist (Dance) at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2020.
His choreography works include Made in Hong Kong in 2014, Along in 2017, and No Dragon No Lion in 2021, were staged around the world and received numerous accolades. The dance video Oh! Million Fist!, choreographed, performed, and directed by Cho, was screened at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France, as well as in New York, Chile, Shenzhen, Slovakia, and Hong Kong. It also received a Special Mention Award at the International Performing Arts & Movie Awards (IPAMA) in 2018.
Associate Artistic Director/ Rehearsal Instructor/ Devising Performer: Ng Chung-wai, Steve
As the only qualified Capoeira coach in Hong Kong and the Associate Artistic Director of TS Crew, Steve is active in different media of performance. He has served as the action choreographer and movement instructor for Big MK Day, The 35th of May, The Only King II, Starry and Monkey Man.
He also involved in different dance works, including No Dragon No Lion, Spinning, White Ginger Lily, Ring, Made in Hong Kong, Along, Gong Wu, Care Free, etc. Among these performances, Along has been staged by invitation at different international platform and festivals, including Tokyo Performing Arts Meeting (TPAM) in Japan, the Beijing Dance Festival in Chinese Mainland, the Bird Theatre Festival in Japan, the NDA International Festival in South Korea and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
Co-choreographer/ Rehearsal Master/ Devising Performer: To Chi-sing
To is an action actor and an artist-in-residence of TS Crew. He has been involved in different movies, advertisements and microfilms. In recent years, he has ventured into drama and contemporary dance productions, bringing different acrobatic and tumbling elements into theatre performances.
Performer: Lau Kai-ho
Lau is currently an artist-in-residence at TS Crew, participating in all of the group's performances, including No Dragon No Lion, Flying Sand Walking Milk, Build - Bridge, etc. Lau has 8 years of experience in beatbox and a cappella, along with 3 years' experience of teaching beatbox. He is currently a member of the a cappella groups, FM96.8 and Saliva Music.
Performer: Zhong Yichao
Zhong is a freelance performer who has participated in TS Crew's productions, No Dragon No Lion and The Christ Mice Cracker, and is active in various scale of stage performances.
Performer: Chan Wang-lok
Chan is a freelance performer who has participated in TS Crew's productions, No Dragon No Lion and No Sugar No Milk. Chan is also a beatbox performer and music creator.
Performer: Yau Sin-hang, Simpson
Graduated with first-class honours from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance and minoring in Pedagogy and Choreography. He was the recipient of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship and The Gifted Young Dancer Programme Scholarship and represented the Academy to perform in France. Also, he was a member of the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC)'s Dance Training Scholarship Scheme "612 mini dancers", "Teens of Colours" and "WuDaoQingNian". He officially joined CCDC after graduating in 2020 and was promoted to Senior Dance Artist in 2024. He is currently working as a freelance artist highly engaged in choreography, research, and teaching partnering and Dynamic Floorwork/ Flow. His recent choreographic works include What do you think?, When we talk about dance… and Symbiosis.
Performer: Lok Hiu-man
Lok graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance and minoring in Choreography. During her studies, she received the Grantham Scholarships Fund several times and the K. K. Chak Memorial Scholarship. She has collaborated with artists including Mickaël 'Marso' Rivière, Jorge Jauregui Allue, Judith Sánchez Ruíz and Leila McMillan. She has also presented her choreographies The experimental life and The experimental life(?) 2.0. She has participated in productions by various local institutions, including the Hong Kong International Airport, E-Side Dance Company and TS Crew. She joined the City Contemporary Dance Company in 2023 as a Dance Artist Trainee.
